Question: Difference between a laptop and a notebook?

Answer: Very good question when most people are to scared to ask - and continue to believe that there is a difference - In "my world" there is no difference..... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Laptop When you look for notebook on wikipedia it refers you to laptop.

Going back to 1995 - most "laptops" were called laptops - and a trend started: to call smaller, thinner laptops, notebooks; this slowly faded away and the words become interchangeable.. therefore our web addresses: www.notebook.co.za and www.laptop.co.za

On another note, I am sure in 5 years time when people speak of a PC they will be referring to a laptop/notebook (and not a desktop pc no more)

We also had an interesting discussion the other day; that a desktop PC - Is lately seen as a "Small Tower Desktop PC" - and that if you look for a Desktop PC which stands horizontal on a desk - there is not an exact word for it no more.....

Hope my rambling on provides some insight - Can I help advise you on a laptop/notebook ?
